The Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service is a joint project of the Nova Scotia Department of Health Promotion and Protection and the Lifesaving Society Nova Scotia Branch.

The online application requires you to provide detailed information such as your current and permanent contact information, employment history, and certification details. You also will need to include or upload a covering letter (see below). Please make sure you have all of this information ready and complete before proceeding with your application.
Cover Letter: All applicants must submit a one page typed covering letter outlining the contribution they will make to the NSLS if hired. Included can be special training skills, plans for beach public relations projects, personal goals, and/or specific site experience, etc. Your covering letter can either be copied into a text box OR you can upload your letter as a file.
Résumé: A résumé is only required if you are applying for an Assistant Director or Supervisory position.
Copies of Certifications/Awards: You can either upload a scanned copy of your certifications/awards with your application OR bring a copy to your physical screening/interview session.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
