The NSLS began supervision of Indian Beach in 1997 under a contractual agreement with the Cape Breton Regional MunicipalityFacilities
Indian Beach has a canteen, change area with flush toilets and a boat launch. There is also a playground equipped with slides, monkey bars and swings, a picnic area, boardwalk, baseball field and The Jack Scott Recreation Centre which is the host of numerous day camps.Beach Safety
The beach is safe and shallow with sandbars. The supervised area stretches about one half the length of the actual beach approximately 150-200m. It is marked by red and yellow flags on either side of the beach.Directions
