Nova Scotia comes second at the Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships

The Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service is proud to announce that Team Nova Scotia placed second at the 13th annual Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships (CSLC). The CSLC’s was held in Quebec at Lake Simon August 24th-26th. Gold Medals winners included Zoee Leblanc and Sarah Bernier in the women's 16-19yr Board Rescue also Zoee received a gold medal in the Women's 16-19yr Surf Race. Terri-Lynn Benison received a gold medal in the Women's Beach Run, Women's Pentathlon and Women's Surf Race. Also Terri-Lynn Benison and Audrey Prayal-Brown won the Women's Board Rescue. Zach Laustsen received gold in the Men's 16-19yr Board Race. Gold medal for the Men's Surf Ski went to Jason Cross and the gold medal for the Men's Beach Run was awarded to Dan Gorman. The team of Richard Macaulay, Aaron Sellers, Dan Gorman, and Jason Cross won gold in the Oceanman Relay. Basil Earle, Zach Laustsen, Fletch Selig, and Adam Smith won gold in the Men's 16-19 Tube Rescue as well as gold in the 16-19 Men's Beach Relay. The women's team of Terri-Lynn Benison, Audrey Prayal-Brown, Anna Von Maltzhan, and Mallary Smith also won the Tube Rescue. Gold in the Women's Beach Relay went to the team of Terri-Lynn Benison, Audrey Prayal-Brown, Anna Von Maltzhan, and Melissa Campbell. Team Nova Scotia had a successful run at the Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championship. For the complete set of results please visit:
