History
This is Point Michaud's first year of supervision with NSLS. It was recognized in a province wide beach study as an area with regular beach populations and potentially dangerous surf conditions.
Facilities
Change-houses, toilets, and parking are available. There is also a picnic area to the left over-looking the beach.
Beach Safety
The supervised swimming area is marked by red and yellow flags on either side of the beach. It is generally about 100 metres in width, but can vary depending on beach conditions. Point Michaud can also experience rough conditions which create many currents and rips which can be dangerous for non-confident or weak swimmers.
